Media Center - Investors for the construction and reconstruction of student dormitories and schools are looking for in the Karaganda region

In the Karaganda region, there is a shortage of about 1,200 places in hostels and about 2,000 places in schools. The Financial Center of the Ministry of Education and Science proposes to solve this problem by attracting private developers, who, after the construction or reconstruction of a hostel or school, will be reimbursed for investment costs.

To participate in the projects of the Financial Center, entrepreneurs must submit an application with title documents for a land plot where a school or hostel will be built, or submit a project for the reconstruction of an existing building. Arnay Smagulov, manager of Financial Center JSC, spoke about this at a briefing on the platform of the Regional Communications Service.

- Having concluded an agreement with the Financial Center, the developer is obliged to erect a building or reconstruct it within a year. After the facility is put into operation, the state places a state order, the annual amount of which is 122 MCI during the construction of a hostel, and 47 MCI per student during reconstruction; during the construction of the school - 96 MCI, during the reconstruction - 47 MCI. Operating expenses are also reimbursed for each student for the entire period of use of the school. The state order is placed for a period of 8 years and payments are made on a monthly basis, - said Arnay Smagulov.
