Ecological compound feed will be produced in Karaganda

In the Karaganda region plan to produce green feed for poultry, livestock and fish. Thanks to the modern technology Israeli investors promise to create a unique brand of Kazakhstani meat.

During a working trip to the Karaganda region, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar was presented a project for the production of green feed for farm animals and fish.

- On the territory of FEZ "Saryarka" a project for the production of granulated enriched green feed for farm animals and birds will be implemented. The uniqueness of the plant lies in a completely new approach in terms of raw materials. For germination of green fodder, multi-level hydroponic plants of our own design are used. There will be an opportunity to produce meat of agricultural animals and fish using environmentally friendly feed. This will allow achieving high quality - to create a unique brand «Made in Kazakhstan! », - said Dmitry Abildin, director of Virgin Soil Kz LLP.

According to investors, the production is based on many years of research by Israeli and international scientists in the field of hydroponic agronomy. The enterprise promises to produce high-quality green fodder all year round, which contains a whole range of microelements.

It is planned that investments will amount to about 27 billion tenge and about a thousand new jobs will be created. Production capacity - up to one thousand tons of feed per day.

Currently, a land plot has been allocated on the territory of the FEZ for the construction of the plant. Design work is underway. Construction is planned to start this year. And it will be completed in 2022.

The initiator of the project Karaganda-Sturgeon LLP is already known in the region for its successful activities in the fishing industry. A sturgeon farm has been operating in the region for the eighth year. Taking into account the climatic conditions, it was created using the closed water supply technology.

In 2020, the enterprise produced 1.5 tons of black caviar and about 20 tons of sturgeon meat. Capacities allow increasing production. It is planned to reach volumes of up to 20 tons of caviar per year and 300-350 tons of sturgeon meat by 2023.

- In 2020, we exported part of our products to Russia. We intend to expand our geography. Domestically, we have regular customers. We are participating in a project for the production of compound feeds using modern technology. We are developing a line of fish food. This will make it possible not to depend on suppliers of raw materials, - said Dmitry Abildin.
